I don't read many short stories because I like characters and stories that I can sink my teeth into. I picked up this story because I try to support local authors and Tim Morrell is a local author for me. Interesting idea, but I wanted more. More character development, a more fully developed story, etc. Not bad for a short story, but this could easily be developed into a full length novel and I think I would have appreciated it more.

VERY well-written story! I have to admit, this went in a completely different direction than I thought it was going to go, but not in a disappointing way. It's a great read.

Losing Myself by T Morrell

This is an interesting short story. A teenager from a broken family tries to be liked by fellow students, or actually anybody. His attempts go unnoticed, so much so that he sees himself as invisible. The reader has to decide as the story progresses whether the youth is ignored enough to seem invisible, or if he really is. The story is told in the first person by the boy and evokes sympathy right up to the surprise conclusion. I want to read more by Tim Morrell.
