When I knew" Clearwater Cowboy" was coming out, I was so excited because I knew it was going to be amazing. Author Al Rennie is a great writer and story teller. He can take a concept and make the most intriguing story. I started The Clearwater series at book 1, "Clearwater Journals," he just wrote book #39 and I am still hooked. . His stories have main plots and sub plots and there can be five different mysteries in one book, but he is so masterful in the way he tells the story that it is never confusing
I like to read books in a series because I like when the story continues on. The people in the stories become familiar, and if the first book is good, then you want to read the next. The problem with most series is that either by the third book or even the 15th book, authors seem to get bored and then the readers get bored. They also just run out of ideas and the reader is left with it unfinished.
As I stated, Author Al Rennie just wrote book 39. I am not bored,, but sometimes I get a little impatient waiting for the next book. The Clearwater series centers around an ex-cop Joe Holliday and his family. His mobster brother Frank and his hitman Max, both live in Canada. There is Mia, Joe's wife, and an assortment of foster kids, who are now just family. There is the whole crew at CHIPS, that are felt as family too.
"Clearwater Cowboy," is still fresh and fun. It is filled with mystery, drama, and humor.I was so busy thinking about Amber and her baby, that I did not see you slip in the mystery of the missing girls. This is Author Al Rennies's beat book yet.I am so excited to get the new book, so hurry up Bubba, I am waiting.
