Salutare!

Are o poveste (foarte) complexa, insa, datorita partilor amuzante, creeaza buna dispozitie.

Oo, this is my favorite YA fantasy series! I rapidly fell in love with the characters. Selunia and Soris are a wonderful couple with a very complicated forbidden love story. The action is very well done, detailed and with sudden twists. I enjoyed seeing the events through the eyes of the characters and getting an insight into how they think and see the world.

The world building is great, but the character building is even greater because you get to see how the fact that they grew up in different environments influences their behaviors and decisions. Soris grew in a loveless family and in a kingdom tormented by war while Selunia grew up in a small but magical country and a loving family.

I also like the light jokes in this book and how the romance gradually develops.

A young woman, trained to use magic, but her own magic lies dormant, is sent to protect a kingdom, that has no knowledge of magic.
She goes there as the daughter of the General. Soon there is an attack on the royal family and it is up to her to save the day.
The story is a little slow at the beginning, but picks up pace and with a cliff-hanger ending. I was eager to find out what would happen next - a sure sign that the book was well-written.
The story is written from the perspective of different people - each one an interesting character.

This book was simply amazing! I can't wait to read what happens next. The story flow was progressive, so it wasn't like other books which catch my attention with a strong beginning and then fade away making me lose my interest in the story. The first chapters tell a lot about the main characters, with some funny moments, and then, by the end of chapter 5, things start to get more and more interesting. The action parts were gripping! I love both Selunia and Soris. There is a sort of subtle chemistry between them.
