I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a YA coming-of-age story of a Christian girl dealing with the effects of bullying (hating the color pink) and maturing past it. The book is realistic -- I liked that it wasn't too dramatic, nor did it just brush off every problem as something that could easily be solved. I appreciated the way the main character interacts with the bully from her past; it felt especially realistic. I especially liked the author's sense of flow and her comedic timing. Several times in the book, conversations get a little tense and a character will crack a joke. It was a pleasant surprise and made the book a joy to read. I am looking forward to more from this author.
