Leila hooked me right away with this explosion of a club scene. I felt as if I was taking every step with Taryn; it was almost as if I was Taryn myself. Elfbitten is a very well written short story, but I crave more of the world that she has created. I would like to read a full novel of the Fae, Vampires and Shapeshifters that she has portrayed to her readers. It left me wanting more.

The cover grabbed me right away. Isn’t it gorgeous? I love fantasy, and I’ve read erotic before (not exactly thrilled, never much plot.) However this one was different, there is plot. In fact, the plot in this moves onto another book and then another. The first time I picked it up I began to think maybe it wasn’t as erotic as the author seemed to fashion it to be because we start in a dance club. I figured chicklit but kept reading anyhow because the writing was strong.

Then it takes a turn. Dancing isn’t exactly dancing. Dancing brings about some erotic energy that enables the Fae’s, Fairies and other dancers to strengthen their magic. Since losing her boyfriend, Taryn has lost a lot of energy so her friend is by her side, helping to bring it back.

If this was a real dance club, the cops would show up in five minutes. Just sayin’! Anyhow, it is erotic but with plot, and the ending will take us into the second book which our author is kind enough to give us a glimpse of.

Though it was fantasy, it struck me as very realistic, able to draw me in to Taryn's world and successfully hold my attention. I loved it! I can't wait to read the second installment in this series, and see who Taryn ends up with. If there'd been ten stars, I would have given it ten-sadly, there wasn't.

So excited this was free! Most of the free books on this site are full of typos and are obviously unedited or even proofread for that matter. This book was professionally done and so much fun to read! I love that it was a "long" short story. Most of the erotica these days are one quick scene and less than ten pages. This was a whole story and had an actual plot. I immediate bought the next two in the series. I really hope there are more to come. Good read! Lots of fun and good details!
