I read 48% and put this down, I got bored following the mundane life of the crystal finder. If anything exiting happens, I did not find it.

Very nice suspense. The people the hero encounters, or endures, also come alive in a consistent way, in line with his initially, or naturally, negative attitude. I could have done with slightly less colorful language and a couple more situative prompts, but that‘s probably just my non-native speaker limitations interfering.
