Al worked many years as a computer analyst and programmer in the intelligence business, and many of the impressions in this book come from those times and experiences.
He's been writing a long time. He wrote his first computer programming book in 1986 and followed that with many published titles. For fifteen years he was a senior contributing editor and columnist for Dr. Dobb’s Journal, then a leading print magazine for computer programmers, now a popular e-zine.
Now retired, Al lives with his wife Judy and a menagerie of cats on Florida’s Space Coast where he writes fiction by day and plays jazz piano, string bass, and saxophone by night.
