A testament in upward mobility, her childhood took her from impoverished neighborhoods to fancy Baltimore suburbs, allowing her to become fully aware of the dichotomy of race and class in terms of social acceptance.
Through the course of her teenaged years, Lyn Valerie experienced such life-altering experiences as rape and physical abuse, transforming the negativity into poignant verses of which are shared to those in need.
Lyn Valerie has ghostwritten and published a number of articles on social commentary and race politics through various online forums. She currently works as a freelance writer, highlights as an online spoken word poet, and serves as a mouthpiece for women who have suffered domestic abuse and rape.
