About Joy Shayne Laughter

Joy Shayne Laughter and Yü were named an Adult Novel Finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association 2006 Literary Contest, followed by Second Place in the 2006 Arch and Bruce Brown Foundation Fiction Contest. Laughter resides in her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, practicing Buddhism, patience, and the writing craft. She has also lived in Seattle and New York, working in journalism, screenwriting, and non-profit leadership. She is a Co-Producer of the 2004 documentary film, Kumbh Mela: Songs of the River. Yü is her first novel, and begins the Ross Lamos Mystery series.
