Wolf In Mind

Rated 3.33/5 based on 12 reviews
Elaina is running scared. Even with her dream lover, she knows only fear, and she’s tired. Tired of running, tired of fighting to stay ahead of the threat that follows her. Finding a temporary respite in a quiet B&B, it turns out to be exactly where she hadn’t intended to go. To him, her dream lover. I welcome any reviews!

The characters kept shifting perspectives. It was very confusing. After all the running suddenly there's mating and THE END. Not very good at all. That's right, who was this Simon?

Leaves nothing resolved as to who and why Simon was a threat but a hot short story.

I enjoyed this...but the ending left things a little too unsettled for me. If things are bad enough to cause Elaina to run on the first place, we need to actually see the problem fixed and not just some "alpha man" can take care of it.
Otherwise Good short story if one can handle the switching view points others have talked about (didn't bother me that as much).

Good short story but somewhat confusing. I think it would make a great book with a few tweeks.

I wasn't thrilled with this book. It was confusing and I was lost more than I cared to be. I never became really connected with the characters. I think it has potential, but needs to be looked at further.

This short story is a free read on smashwords. It's entertaining, but there were a lot of editing issues. It's a real cliff-hanger ending so I hope there is either another book coming, or this was just a peak at a larger story. Pretty good overall, it just needed cleaned up a little more and I would have liked more story.

Cute read... Surely there's more to the story? Got a little confused with tenses but enjoyed it all the same!

This is a good little story with lots of potential for more! I'm sure the story will go on, and I'm interested enought to follow it. The changes in tense and point of view tripped me up a lot though. Pick either first or third person and try to stick to it. Your protagonist flips back and forth betwee she and I. Also the story bounces from past tense to present throughout. Thanks for the enjoyable read. :)
