I really enjoyed this book - it is well written and well edited. The plot is complex and fast-paced, with good character development. It ends on a total cliff-hanger, so can't wait for the next one in the series.

This story takes place after the short story "Something Other Than Human". I'm always looking for new worlds to enjoy, and I enjoyed this one. The storyline interleaves between several POVs, which gives different perspectives to ongoing events. It is a fairly quick, entertaining read.
