Karen Chance is one of my favorite authors - humorous, engaging characters and a story line that holds your interest. This novella gives us some insight to the ever complicated Pritkin.

I just love Pritkin so reading this additional free short story about him was a treat.
In A Family Affair, Pritkin is going on a mission for his father. If Pritkin fulfills the mission Rosier promises to stop hunting Cassie.
Off course the mission goes wrong... nothing new here with Pritkin... and off course when Cassie finds out what Pritkin's up to, she has to go help him and get's herself into trouble, which is also nothing new.
So A Family Affair is the typical Pritkin - Cassie mess which is why I love this short story so much!

Finally had the chance to read this little short adventure showcased from John Pritkin's POV. Cassie Palmer is once again in danger and John puts his own life on the line. Casanova is involved and chaos ensues. I am so looking forward to reading Hunt the Moon which is sitting on my To Be Read shelf as it should pick up right where this ended. I want to know what happens to Cassie next

Again another short novella, which links into the Cassandra Plamer series written by Karen Chance. This gives us a little more insight into Pritkin and Casanovas characters. A major demon is on the loose and Pritkins father asked him to take care of it, but that means leaving Cassie unprotected, so Pritkin asks Casanova to watch her. Casanova is half incubus demon and is the only one who can sense other demons (aside from Pritkin), so imagine his surprise when none other than Prikins father turns up to attack Cassie. Brilliant novella, which would be a great ne Cassie book.

Review by: Carol on Aug. 13, 2011 :
A Cassie Palmer short with the non-stop action characteristic of the series. Told mostly from the point of view of John Pritkin and Casanova. This short gives more insight into the demon side of things in the Cassie Palmer world.
As in the synopsis, this story would be confusing to someone not reading the Cassie Palmer series. The other shorts by Karen Chance on Smashwords use characters from the series but don't require reading the Cassie Palmer books as background.
