About Pat Dunlap Evans

Pat Dunlap Evans was born in Michigan but "got to Texas as soon as I could." Her family lived in San Antonio and Dallas, where she attended South Oak Cliff High School and Southern Methodist University, eventually completing her bachelor's and master's degrees in English at University of Missouri, Kansas City.

After college, Pat stressed her way as a single mom through twenty-five years of varied advertising and marketing roles before retiring at last to write the novels she always hoped to write. She's working on the screenplay versions of each too. She currently lives in the Lake Travis area with her second husband Dr. Bill Evans and enjoys travel, golf, volunteer work, sailing, and the escapades (and chaos) of the couple's combined five adult children, five grandchildren, one great-grand, and two Cockalier dogs.

Pat has written three novels, TO LEAVE A MEMORY, OUT AND IN: a mystery-thriller, and BACKSTORY. The first two are available in wide distribution. Pat is currently querying literary agents for representation on BACKSTORY, a literary thriller.
