I grew up in Warsaw Indiana. I started writing when I was in third grade. The reason I started writing was to entertain my friends and family. I loved telling stories and eventually it turned into writing them down so I could tell new friends. I try to write something everyday, even if it is just a sentence or two. My grandparents, Rodger and Mary Phillips, owned a small campground around the lake. I spent a lot of my childhood there and would often go out into the woods for inspiration. My other favorite spot was the pier out on the lake. One of my biggest inspirations now is my 17 year old son. He was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 years old.
Watching him grow and learn and the way he interacts with people inspires me. His own desire to chase his own dreams has pushed me to do the same.
