Being a famous ghosthunter was Joss' dream. She wanted to prove to the world that there was life after death. And it was never about going to spooky locations and getting scared for her. But in this location, fear would rule. Because what they discover was definitely no ghost. And it was intent on making them pay for the intrusion.

About K.T. McQueen

Horror Author of The Soul Game, Skin Side Out, & Whispers on the Hill
K.T.McQueen is an extension of Kate Trinity as suggested by my Indie Publisher for writing horror novels.
I'm currently engrossed in creating a universe of monsters both as novels and movie scripts. Stars is the first story in the series and a kind of introduction. The second book (you can read the first three chapters of at the end of Stars) has taken me a while and is in fact the first book of the Noctisbellum Inc. series I wrote.

About the Series: Noctisbellum Inc.
Noctisbellum Inc. was formed to further fringe science. To protect and defend those outside of regular society and those in need of safe harbour. In truth, to allow monsters to live amongst the humans without inciting pitchfork wielding locals to do something about it. Because pitchforks are no longer the weapon of choice.

Ruben Hellebore began his reign with a strict belief in cruelty and justice. Determined not to let those in power forsake all others for the accumulation of their own wealth and status. As times changed he changed with them and so did his company, although, should you displease him or break one of the rules you will be met with that same cruel justice. So if your desire is to be under Noctisbellum's protection, want your right to exist upheld, and your freedom unquestioned, you must follow Noctisbellum Inc.'s rules.

Reviews of Stars by K.T. McQueen

Stars are ghost's hunting team. Joss, Kyle, and Rob have a mutual dream, to get as many viewers they can on Instagram by showing the world a great story, the evidence of ghost existence. After dealing with the lack of stuff, they decide to go to Romania, in the old castle. They were searching in the dark rooms for the track of disembodied voices they heard around. What they found is different from what they expected.
This story is made almost like a documentary and a reader can easily be in their shoes. Dark places abandoned caste and apparitions. The author writes precisely and hit the emotional button from the reader: from the insecurity of main character Joss, who is in doubt about her motives, until the sarcasm, because Rob is injured and he still feels horny. Their mutual disagreement is caused by fear of the unknown, and the reader could feel that they got lost in the old myth.
Everyone has a dream score, and if you want to jump out from the routine job, you must be able to do something impossible. If you are aware of possible victims and loss, and you still want to catch your dream, you will understand the point of this story.

This was a damn good read. The set up seems like it will be a little cliched ghost story at first, but then it turns into something else entirely. The characters are well developed and I actually cared what happened to them. There's some nice suspense and the tale builds the tension nicely and comes to a satisfying and horrifying conclusion. If you appreciate a quick read and a nice little twist, I highly recommend this introductory story to what is promising to be the start of an interesting new horror universe! I can't recommend this enough. Buy it, enjoy it and bite your nails waiting for the next book in the series!
