Simon Grail is rapidly becoming my favourite writer. This novella essentially contains several short stories, hung together by the thin fabric of a mind control experiment. Still, the stories are good, two of them I thought outstanding; namely, 'Objecting to noisy workmen in the road outside my house', and 'In Court for Embezzlement', cracking stories and the latter I would have loved to be extended in volume, to something like 'The trial of Josephine K".
