Mix today's political issues with aliens, magic mushrooms, nukes, EMP pulses, ESP, the end of the world, and in the middle of it the character known only as Q. The end result is the story "Not Kids Games."

I actually laughed out loud in a few places at the tidbits of humor interspersed with a very serious subject. I like this author's views on the power of the mind. I am a big believer that our minds are more powerful than we are aware of, and that we simply are not taught how to tap into the great reservoire that exists within us.

I do agree with Janr that our world may be on the precipice of disaster and that we should be more aware of what's going on around us. Good job, Janr, on a story well told!

I read sci-fi to "get away" from reality and stress and relax before bed time. I particularly like short stories. This short book had so many subtle concepts it literally kept my mind running in circles like a detective trying to put together the pieces of a crime scene. It did not lull me to sleep.

On the bright side, if you like something very thought provoking and imaginative this is it. I agree with the review that said it painted lots of pictures in his head. In this respect it was very unusual and filled with sensory images that made me feel like I had been there. Too bad it is not a full length book!

This was really a lot of fun to read. I loved the imagery. It took you to places you have never been and painted pictures that were so unreal, yet believable. It was like reading the album version of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. The story moves quickly and gives you many interesting ideas to ponder. This was a 1 hour vacation from the real world and I loved the experience. Loved it.

Great Book! Not sure if it is fantasy or fiction but I loved the premise of two college nerds controlling the world and learning how to change.... Ha! I won't tell you and spoil the story! What I found mind blowing (and Yes I grew up in the 60's) was the imagery. In a short story you don't expect much color and detail. This is the exception. My head is filled with pictures from this story. I would vote this a genre of its own Sci-Fantasy. However for fantasy it is very, very believable. Read It! I never bought a cheap book before and like it so much. I got it for a coupon gift but I'd pay 99 cents for this in a snap now that I know the author's work. JC

What a phenomenal read. From start to finish i was on the edge of my seat. From the very first page i felt like i was transported to a new and exciting world which i was eager to learn more about. I recommend this book to anyone who loves sci fi and is looking for something new and fresh. This adventure kept me surprised through out, no hackneyed storylines here! This Author has a knack for creating super characters and describing a universe so intensely real, i was shocked each time i looked up from my book and found myself sitting in my chair back home. I hope to see more from this author soon.
