Such a great and concise short story where a lot happens. I love the detective work that is done by the husband and the steps he created to get to a bad conclusion. The ups and downs of his feelings and what may be going on was really captured and the last scene in the bathroom was haunting and a touch familiar to me.

Best part of my day was sitting outside reading this short story.

An excellent, character-driven story. Nice descriptions, characterizations, and plotting.

Well-drawn characters invited me to read on until the bitterness of the end. Who can't identify with the narrator - or the wife? I liked this story very much.
