Candice Reed’s writing career has spanned over 20 years. She is co-author of the book “Thank You for Firing Me; How to Catch the Next Wave of Success after you Lose Your Job” published by Sterling Publishers in March, 2010. Currently, she is a freelance travel journalist, guest writer on financial blogs, creates blogs for credit unions, dabbles in copywriting and speechwriting, and is a professional speaker on job loss.
Reed has been a ghostwriter for a former president, which she really can’t talk about. She has published more than 5,000 business features, personal essays and travel articles in newspapers and magazines including: The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The San Diego Union Tribune, and the Christian Science Monitor.
As a blogger, public speaker and writer, the author has offered survival tactics to the 7.8 million people—and counting—who are out of work and losing their homes, and desperately in need of new ideas and eclectic resources.
Heather Anderson’s 20-year career in the financial services industry began with a college internship writing newsletter copy for credit unions. She is currently a reporter covering mortgages, economics and the credit union industry’s central banking system. She has also published hundreds of business, arts & entertainment and sports articles in newspapers across the country, including the San Diego Union Tribune, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Kansas City Star and Austin American-Statesman. She is the author of the popular urban homesteading blog, San Diego Farmgirl, which provides tips for urban homeowners about raising produce in their backyards and other sustainable living practices.
