"Interview with the Bard" demonstrated Markley's seasoned craftsmanship of the mechanics of a short story. It was engaging from the first sentence and never let the reader down, building in suspense to a heartfelt climax and ending with an ironic twist. The characterization of the young journalist was such that I felt I was in her skin from the get go; and her predicament only made her viewpoint more intense. I would highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys being delightfully entertained.
