About Betty N. Thesky

Betty was born the youngest of ten children in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She knew from a young age that she wanted to travel and see the world. After graduating from Shippensburg University, she got a job as a flight attendant for a major airline. Betty currently lives in Los Angeles, California and is still flying—so you might see her on your next flight! In September 2006 she started her own podcast called “Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase.” Composed of airline and travel stories, the podcast is reminiscent of an old fashioned radio show, giving listeners an insider’s view of life in the air.

A great book. Betty has really funny stories. Loved her podcast and the book is just as fun. The hardest part was not laughing when I was reading in public (not sure surpressed laughter/shaking was much better). Definately read this book!

This is definitely one that you'll have trouble putting down. A great casual read, best enjoyed in small portions. The stories give a great insight into the nutty aviation industry.

Avid podcast listeners will recognize some of the stories, but there's plenty of new material here. Definitely looking forward to a second book!

I had so much fun reading this e book! It's a perfect escape from my stressful life. Because it has so many short pilot and flight attendant stories, I could read a little bit at a time when I could steal away a few minutes for myself, and it really brightened my mood!
