IE Castellano is an American author and poet living in the Eastern United States. Falling in love with the mechanics of the English language at an early age, she started writing poetry before venturing into fiction. Let me preface this review by saying, I am always a very slow reader, and seldom one to skim a page. Even when it comes to my favorite writers, I rarely read more than a chapter at a time, and that is how I started this book. With that being said, by the end I was completely enraptured by this story, finishing it by reading the final 9 chapters just yesterday, with little if any break in between. Like Berty, i wanted to know the truth about life, love, and the loss of magic in this world, and as he learned, 'love is to be felt and not thought.'
If you're a reader not satisfied by the prosaic mundane, this book is for you. Full of imagination and charm, rich in character development, vividly descriptive in all its sensual nuances, complete in and of itself and yet part of a series, I want to know more about this world in between! You will too.
