Soulmates

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Soulmates are not always two people who are partners-in-relationship. A soulmate is a person whom we come across by chance and that person immediately completes the jigsaw puzzle of our lives and suddenly we feel complete. This short story 'Soulmates' is about two such people, Niyati and Arjun.

Note: This is a short story of about 2000 words only.

Soulmates by Rashi Dubey

Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, we cannot easily grasp the meaning of incidents in our life but eventually we will be able to find answers to the questions we have in our minds. "Soulmates" is a story of two people who resembled in attitude and fall in love with each other. Arjun vanished for no reason. Niyati was disappointed with their relationship. Although she has later moved on, she has still a lot of whys in her mind. When they were reunited (but in a wrong place and time), time was not enough to ask why and continue their pending love affair. Arjun took his last breath due to cancer. But to Niyati, life doesn't end there. When bad things come, there are still good reasons to celebrate life.

The last lines of the story is also uplifting as I quote, "People change to make you learn to ‘let go’, things go wrong so that ‘right things can be appreciated’, you are betrayed so that you can ‘learn to trust yourself’, expectations fail so you can start ‘believing in yourself’, you feel helpless at times so you can have ‘faith in God’ and good things fall apart so that ‘better things can replace them’."

The author promotes positivity in this ebook. Allowing good vibes to happen is a good attitude. Keep it up.
