Reviews of Malevolent by S. Peters Davis

S Willett reviewed on Sep. 11, 2018

Kendra Sparks writes suspense-romance, but she also communicates with the dead. Her best friend Jenna, an FBI agent, died in front of Kendra in the book Unorthodox, the first in this series. Jenna convinces Kendra to help the FBI find her killer.

In this book, Malevolent, the two women (or should I say woman and ghost) work to bust up human trafficking of young women.

You’ll read about supernatural forces, FBI crime fighting, Voodoo rituals, and romance between Kendra and the man of any woman’s dreams, Derek Knight. What a hunk!

S. Peters Davis shows her writing talent by keeping her reader engaged and even though this is the second in the series you could read it first and not feel lost. You will want to follow this author and read everything she has to offer.

It takes a skilled writer to convince the reader that there are dark forces out there visible to only a few. S. Peters-Davis takes us proficiently into the world of malevolent soul-sucking spirits. Woven well into the world of the FBI and police investigations we are taken on a whirlwind ride into the unknown. Young girls are turning up dead and things get really serious when a bus load of zombie-like teenagers is found. Buster, a malevolent spirit is after absorbing the girls’ souls as his energy source.
Kendra, suspense writer extraordinaire is pulled in as consultant, mainly as she is well versed in the supernatural, and has Jenna a recently slain spirit as a side-kick, oh and I almost forgot her Grandma’s journal. Add the sizzling attraction that burns throughout between Kendra and the FBI agent Derek Knight to the mix and you have a thoroughly high-octane thriller.
