Anthony Perna's career as a gangster/ mobster began in the late 1920s. In 1927 he was indicted and convicted for raping a 14-year-old girl. Before his assault conviction was overturned in 1932, Perna and an accomplice had kidnapped a Buffalo contractor. Listed as Buffalo Public Enemy #9 Perna was questioned in the 1933 murders of the Calleo brothers, alcohol distributors. Perna died in March 1968. More
