Review by: Mark Willen on Dec. 2, 2018 :
This is a thought-provoking novel about a decidedly dystopian future and the efforts of a small band of resisters determined to escape it. The year is 2042 and the protagonist, Phillip Russell, has been dumped by his employer and his girlfriend, giving him more than enough reason to embrace a radical and mysterious new challenge. He joins The Pystead Group and is gradually introduced to new people and new realities. It’s an interesting journey and a fun read, with well-drawn characters and plenty of philosophical arguments to challenge a reader.
