About Alannah Foley

Alannah Foley... aka 'The Pyjama Writer'

Author of travel tales, light cosy mysteries, short fiction, and other maverick titles that won't fall in line...

Raised in the UK, Alannah lived in her Aussie birthplace for five years in her twenties, where mozzies regularly used her for target practice. She managed to return to Old Blighty devoid of shark or snake bite, however, and currently lives in picturesque Cornwall with her cycling-obsessed partner.

As an author, Alannah writes 'across the board' and loves bringing a sense of fun to her work. Since 2011, she has published mysteries and short fiction as well as travel tales and satirical portraits about life's foibles (some still in the pot!).

Don't miss out on what Alannah's working on next – make sure you get her (pester-free) newsletter. Visit bit.ly/PJW-News to sign up (early buyers also get her books at the discounted price).

Just not funny. This has been done much better elsewhere. She gets an extra star for giving the book away. For a better treatment see this video-

An amusing read that cuts just a little too close to the truth, although I still think that the main reason cyclists shave their legs is for the ease of cleaning the gravel out of their abrasions after a fall, rather than for streamlining purposes. An enjoyable read.

Having answered Alannah's questionnaire I discovered that I am a cyclomaniac and suffering from OCD (obessive cycling disorder). My wife thinks that a CWA (cycling widows annonymous)group is an excellent idea! She also now claims to be an unpaid soigner and is unrewarded for this role.
We both found Alannah Foley's book "Cycling Widows", to be amusing although on occasions being rather uncomfortably too near to the truth. The book would lend itself to being serialised by any cycling magazine, in fact they are missing a treat by not publishing the book in this format.
