This is an excellent Pride & Prejudice vagary that is both exciting and romantic. This work is well-written, the pace moves along nicely, and the plot is very different from most of the P&P derivatives. There is harshness in the book, but nothing that is off-putting to read. Most of the action takes place in Grenada and Pemberley, Wickham is somewhat more honorable than usual, and Darcy's relentless pursuit of Elizabeth prompts him to behave in ways that leave him wondering about his place in the world. Highly recommended!
