Different people - Different aspirations:
Cute and innocent, the school children don’t know what they deserve and just crave for one ladleful of khichdi instead of the half a ladle they get every day in midday meal.
Responsible and smart, Muskan doesn’t know how to make situations better and just aspires to fight for the rights of the unfortunate kids.
Hardworking and honest, Gangu doesn’t know how to manipulate things and just aims to bring change to his village.
Experienced and mediocre, Principal-sahab doesn’t know how to make a fortune and just strains to keep Nambardaar happy at all costs.
Wise and polite, farmers don’t know how to convert agriculture into a profitable business and just hope to get fair prices for the crops they grow doing arduous work in the fields.
Greedy and superstitious. Omi doesn’t know how to be a village president and just wishes for a miracle to happen to defeat Gangu in the village elections
Handsome, high-achieving, ruthless, corrupt, and calculative, Nambardaar knows how to get more than what he deserves, understands how to manipulate the system, makes situations profitable, and converts anything into a successful business…and…also knows how to be romantic.

He uses his power and money to siphon off the government funding sent for the education and welfare of unfortunate kids. Seeing possibilities of limitless money and power in politics, he plans to place his older brother into politics, and to accomplish that, he picks his Dalit servant Gangu to be the presidential candidate of his village in order to swing the Dalit votes in his brother’s favor.
The only child of her parents, young Muskan is enjoying her life with family and friends and studying hard to make her future brighter. She raises her voice against Nambardaar for the children whom she’d never met before but feels as if she has known for a lifetime.
