About the Series: The Floating Isles
Floating Isles were created millions of years ago when a beetle the size of a continent churned up mud from the seabed for a perch. And things have only gotten weirder since.

The series mainly follows Rahni Gazi, the princess of a small inconsequential nation called Savay. She spends her days defying convention, exasperating her parents and torturing visiting heads of state.

She has the ill luck to be alive during a Realignment, one of the periodic adjustments to the balance of good and evil. Even worse, she is quite literally cursed with a quest that will help set this balance and lock the definitions of good and evil in place for another cycle. Rahni takes up her new responsibilities only reluctantly and makes no promises about doing a good job.
