“Pride” is about a guy named John. John hates his life. He has no friends or family because he chose to work to get what he enjoys the most in life, money. He decides to call up an ex-girlfriend, Jenny to go to dinner. When they are at dinner Jenny confesses to not having anybody to talk to. Even though John is in the same situation, he is too prideful to admit it to Jenny. Instead of telling Jenny the truth, he acts like his life is perfect. He soon realizes that he will regret that forever.
“Stranger” is also about a man named John. His car broke down in the middle of the road while on the way to his mom’s house. After hours of trying to hitch a ride, a man named William pulls over to give him a lift. John thinks William looks familiar so he starts to asks him questions to see if they knew each other. None of the questions William answered stuck out to John. As soon as they got to Johns mom’s house, he found out why William looked so familiar.
“Lonely Nights” is about a seven-year-old girl named Tammy. Tammy’s mom is a single mom with no help raising her daughter. Tammy’s dad hasn’t seen her in years. He’s no help in her life. The relationship between Tammy and her mom is rocky. Being picked on at school isn’t making it easier for Tammy. One day it was late at night. Tammy’s mom was sleep, but she was still wide awake. “How bad can running away really be,” she whispered to herself.
