About David Davis

David R. Davis is the son of a military man. Born in Texas, he has lived in Virginia, Texas, Idaho, Minnesota and currently resides in Tucson, Arizona. He served as a combat medic with the 101st. Airborne Division in Vietnam. David was a social worker and therapist for thirty-five years. He received an undergraduate degree at West Texas State University and a masters degree in social work at Our Lady of the Lake University.

He is the author of two books. Running In, Walking Out was published in 2017 and The Unusual Man was published in 2018. He is currently working on a third novel.

In addition to writing, David volunteers at The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum where he plays with stingrays, snakes and turtles. He is an avid hiker of the Sonoran Desert. He's been a member of the Oro Valley Writers Forum for three years.
