Jon W. Brisby was raised in the Worldwide Church of God, attending Imperial Schools in Pasadena, CA as a youngster from 1968–1972, with one year at Ambassador College in 1980–81. He joined Church of God, The Eternal (a remnant fellowship) after that school year, was baptized into the Faith at age nineteen, and was later ordained as a minister in 1997 by Mr. Raymond C. Cole. He received a business degree from the University of the State of New York and had a successful career in corporate middle management until choosing to serve the church full-time in 1999. After the death of Raymond Cole in 2001, he became Pastor and Director of Church of God, The Eternal.
