Angelo Loicano was a former helper in the construction industry. He was also a member of the Young Mafia or Black Hand. Eventually Loicano's East Harlem gang did as much as $2,000,000 per year in illicit drug sales. By 1946 one of its ringleaders sold as much as $140,000 in only two months time.
