About Tammy Dunning

Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1969 to my amazing parents, Barry and Sandra. I have one sibling, Russell. We grew up in the town of Tecumseh, Ontario. We climbed cherry trees, rode dirt bikes in the fields, caught crayfish in the ditches. Basically, we spent most of our time outside exploring the world.

I went to school in Belle River, Ontario, graduating in 1987. I went on to college but chose to drop out. Looking back now I wish I would have stuck to it. I married the love of my life, Shane, in 1991. Shortly after, we had two children. Our daughter, Mandy, created the covers to the 'Colours In Blackness' series. She is a graduate from Fanshawe College with an advanced diploma for Fine Art. Our son, Dustin, created the website and helped out with all my other computer needs. He's quite savvy with electronics.

These five Colours In Blackness books, as well as A Bed Of Blood, are self published. I am interested in qualified representation: publishing company or agent.

Because I have Fibromyalgia, sometimes keeping focus is very difficult. Writing these stories is an accomplishment that I am very proud of. However, I couldn't have accomplished any of this without the aide from several friends and family, but mostly from my mother. She let me bounce ideas off of her and helped me out when I'd fall into creative slumps.

Please enjoy my words. I love all of characters and will forever hold them near and dear to my heart. Feel free to post your comments on my website.

I read the first book and could not wait for the second book. Unfortunately I am sadly disappointed. The second book tends to be a bit too sleazy - I would not have my daughter reading about 18 year-olds sleeping with their peers never mind showering with them. It is not something that would be tolerated in the establishment they are in. The basic tenets of the story are quite good, it just runs off the rails with the side issues.
