I was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and I have one sibling. We grew up in a small town just outside of my birthplace.
I went to college for just one year then chose to drop out. Looking back now I wish I would have stuck to it. Perhaps I should have signed up for something more suited to me. Being only 17 years old at the time, choosing a career that would carry me through life happily seemed impossible.
I married the love of my life, Shane, in 1991. I'm happy to say that we are still together and very much in love. Shortly after our marriage, we had two children. Our daughter, Mandy, has studied Fine Art and is an amazing artist. Our son, Dustin, created the www.coloursInBlackness.com website and helped out with all my other computer needs throughout the years. Thankfully he's quite savvy with all the new fangled electronics that I don't quite understand.
The five books in my Colours In Blackness series as well as A Bed Of Blood, are self published. It's not that I wouldn't enjoy letting someone else handle all the nitty gritty because I certainly could use their knowledge. I needed to do this myself, just to know that I can. Now that I have done all that I can, a publishing company or agent to push my books into the hands of a wider audience would be greatly appreciated.
I have Fibromyalgia and Porphyria, therefore, sometimes keeping focus is very difficult. Writing these stories is an accomplishment that I am very proud of, especially since I have no formal training. However, I couldn't have succeeded without the aide from several friends and family members. My mother helps me bounce ideas around and pushes me on when I fall into creative slumps.
Please enjoy my stories. I love all of characters and will forever hold them near and dear to my heart. Feel free to post your comments here on Smashwords or on my website.

I read the first book and could not wait for the second book. Unfortunately I am sadly disappointed. The second book tends to be a bit too sleazy - I would not have my daughter reading about 18 year-olds sleeping with their peers never mind showering with them. It is not something that would be tolerated in the establishment they are in. The basic tenets of the story are quite good, it just runs off the rails with the side issues.
