About Willy Thorn

Willy Thorn is an artist, journalist & author.

He was born in Milwaukee, raised in Rome & lives in Bangkok.

He has published 14 books & written more than 4oo articles, columns, essays, features, fiction, reviews, advertisements, shorts, scripts & plays - which have appeared on-stage, on billboards & on television; over the radio airwaves; in multiple academic journals, in dozens of magazines & in hundreds of print publications & websites.

He has worked as a Capitol Hill reporter, columnist & beat writer, wire editor, arts critic, public relations specialist, art therapist, morning radio host, play-by-play sports announcer & rap promoter.

He has lived & worked in Baltimore & the DistriCt, Chicago & the Twin Cities, Denver & Phoenix, St. Francis (SoDak); the whole Bay Area from San Francisco thru Oakland, down to Santa Clara & back; in Dehli, India & Sydney, Australia & many more.

He has won awards for theatre, sports reporting, political writing, religious publications & photography.

He proudly notes a Master’s Degree from Marquette University & books in both Washington's Library of Congress & the Vatican Archives in Rome.
