This book was given free in exchange for my honest review of it. I had heard of this topic previously through my husband's aunt, but I had never read a lot on the topic of prayer walking. This book was in depth in discussing the different types of prayer walks and different ways of doing a prayer walk. If this is something you are interested in reading up on I would recommend this book. It is written in a conversational style of writing which engages you from the first page.

There is only one section of the book I was honestly uncomfortable with which is the section on prayer walking via going through a maze or labyrinth. To me, personally, this felt a bit new age, but I haven't researched deeper on this type of payer walk, so it may be truly beneficial. Research and time will tell. Don't let this section detour you from reading this book if you feel lead to read it.

This book came to me at a time when I really needed some guidance. Sometimes, we all feel as though things in the world are working against us or our ambitions. It seems especially that way when our ambitions are of a good nature, which I would hope most of our's are! Most of the time we write it off as pure imagination or bad luck but we should remember that there is evil in the world that doesn't want us to succeed. Reading through this book helped me remember how important it is to walk with God and allow Him to control the things that we cannot. He is more powerful than anything we could possibly imagine, if we have faith and pray, then we truly have all we need.

I have had the awesome privilege to know Pastor George McVey as a personal friend and brother in the Lord. I personally have edited this book, and have read it through and through.

This book is designed to give you the awareness of the different ways of prayer-walking. As a "seasoned" prayer warrior, I, myself was fascinated by the wealth of information that I didn't know about. This book is not intended to be complicated, but a guide to those who understand spiritual warfare, and to show us how important it is for us to be aware of our surroundings.

If you are a Christian, and read the Word of God, you should know that we are in a spiritual warfare with the works of darkness, and the devil uses people, objects, and situations to attack us and those we love. But, we need to know that he is already defeated; but he continues his 'plots' to steal, kill, and destroy. His attacks are spiritual only, but the results are produced in the natural, whether through sickness, accidents, murder, calamities, etc. We've been given the authority in Jesus to be the giant killer in our lives, in our neighborhood, community, and our Nation. The thing that defeats the devil at his own devices is: us praying in the spirit, and praise; then use our weapons of warfare, and put on the full Armour of God, so we can cast him out, and put him in his place--"under our feet"!

Prayer-walking is an awesome experience as we take a walk, and visit with the Lord. Birds singing gives us joy, Snakes in the grass can give us warnings, A billboard can give us a message... so many things can make us aware of just how our world affects how we think, act, and do in everyday life.

This book is written so that even a 'beginner' can learn to prayer walk, and cast out devils as they are revealed to our understanding. I know a woman, who, back in the 70's had the restricted privilege of marching, prayer-walking and singing praise around Red Square in Russia, praying in the spirit, and praising out loud in bringing down the strongholds of that government and it's regime. A few years later, the Iron Curtain fell! It was not just her praying alone, but intercession by prayer warriors all over the world were combined to free those people and bring down that socialist communism.

Don't make this book complicated, Start simple, and as you make the commitment to prayer-walk, then you have this book as a guide to the more difficult aspects of prayer-walking.

I give this book, and Pastor McVey five stars for his dedication and hard work, as well as years of research and experience in prayer-walking!

Prayer walking is a very Biblical concept. Enoch walked with God. Daniel walked along the river praying when an angel spoke to him. Joshua and the Israelites walked around Jericho praying and praising to bring down walls.

After reading this book I was inspired to begin adding prayer walking to my own spiritual journey. I have not been disappointed! God has taught me so many new things by being obedient in this little thing. I highly suggest prayer walking to all!!!

I genuinely wanted to give this book 5 stars, but couldn't, because in my opinion this book needed to be broken down into two separate works: "Prayer Walking for Beginners" and "Advanced Prayer Walking." As a beginner, I found some of the more advanced spiritual warfare walking to be intimidating and over my head. Stronger spiritual warriors than I might find that section to be perfect for them, but it wasn't my cup of tea.
