April excites me also because of A to Z challenge. This was my third year I took up the challenge and successfully completed it. My theme this year was: Foreign word/phrase a day and 8 line poem for it. More
This ebook puts together all the challenges from A to Z 2019. For each alphabet from A to Z, there is a word/phrase, the language it comes from, meaning, an eight line poem followed by poem’s interpretation. I have picked words and phrases from Latin, German, French, etc which are commonly used in English. The month conceded pretty smooth, exhilarating, reading, compiling, browsing, looking for more words than I know and understand. While someday's I had to pick one from my favorites and other days I had to go with only available ones. Some poems have turned out way different than I had assumed them to be and have deeper meanings than I intended them to have. This year, the poems have been profound and intense (I collect that from reader’s feedback from blog). I like how short poems can convey a lot deeper thoughts and open up a wide horizon space for interpretation. Well, that was indeed happiness.
