About Carrie Thorne

I am a writer and a reader with a passion for romance novels. Since I first discovered fiction, devouring pieces by my favorite authors, starting with John Grisham, Tom Clancy, and Nora Roberts, I have created adventures in my head until it becomes too elaborate for my mental cloud and the story rushes onto paper like an ice age megaflood.

When I write, I pull on my diverse personal, academic, and professional background to create rich stories with relatable characters. I have a master’s in healthcare and have a background in geology.

My favorite pastime is curling up by the fire on a cold day with a cup of hot coffee and a great book. When that’s not possible, I love travelling with my husband, our two amazing kids, and our goofy Labrador retriever. I’m a Pacific Northwesterner; as such the great outdoors have always called to me. Nothing is more satisfying on a beautiful day than trekking through the woods, swimming the Puget Sound, playing in the ocean waves, or hiking the Olympics.
