Reviews of Endurance: The Complete Series by A. C. Spahn

It is sometimes very hard to find a good book to read, because with the advent of ebooks the market has been flooded with authors attempting to write when they obviously do not have any talent for writing. The talented few are in the minority and I would consider this author to be in the minority.
The opening of the book went straight into the story and delivered to the reader the characters in a meaning full way. This is how I consider a novel should be presented. I don't like pages of narrative in the beginnings. The history of the characters was fed into the story along the way. I thought the classic introduction of Ivanokoff with his "I do not do airlocks" was incredible. With those few words of dialouge his character was revealed. A great piece of writing and deserves five stars

What a great read! More please…
Terrific plot expertly constructed and the characters were just like everyone, flawed but doing their best.

Had this book on my shelf for a while and just got to read it and now I know why I had it on my shelf :-) It is a good read, nice on suspense and the main characters grow on you. The unexpected twist changing the story here and there are good. I enjoyed my time reading it in a flow and recommend anyone to reading it, specially if you like scifi.
AC Spahn has a good feel to developing her story and entices you to read it to the end :-)
Thanks for a good story.

As a fledgling writer, just starting out (tender age of 69) I find AC a great writer. Her plots are riveting, her characters and dialogs are entertaining, and her science is believable. You can't get much better than that for complex Sci-Fi.

I've read most of the classics over my 60+ years of reading SF, starting on my 10th birthday. My older cousin got me my first SF book, "Half Spacesuit Will Travel", which I believe Heinlein published in 53' I think? Anyway, I've read all of Asimov's, Herbert's, Heinlein's, Stephen Lawhead's, and even all of Mr. King's.

My only complaint is that there were only three books in the series. Of course I was hooked with her sample of the "Enchantress..." series which was at the end of "Endurance" and purchased all 4 volumes. I'll probably purchase most anything she writes in the future.

So if you like SF writing, in an entertaining format, this is your girl. Let's support her!!.

Thanks for writing A.C.!

And...a fledgling SF novelist, SF/Fantasy is probably more like it.

Cheers all!
