Small town on the edge of a lake is taken over by big-time developers... conflict. More
Screen treatment -
Big city company men arrive in Lakeside, Lake Capri's small pastoral village. Local people have enjoyed the unspoiled beauty of this wooded locale all their lives. New developers have acquired vast acreage of lakefront property, with plans to build luxury townhouse condominiums for rich retired people from far away. The locals are becoming the servant class to the rich, with all the resentment that goes with it. And the new gated community obscures the view of the lake that they'd had for four generations. Strange things start happening in Lakeside that change the lives of everyone there.
The author was told that this intrigue reads like a Hitchcock. The author doesn't see it.
