About Melanie Lentz

Melanie Lentz is a former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent, author, and speaker. She became an agent at twenty-two, one of the youngest female agents ever hired. She is originally from Southern California and spent most of her Secret Service career in the Los Angeles Field Office. She was also briefly assigned to Former First Lady Nancy Reagan's protection detail prior to Mrs. Reagan's death in 2016. Melanie currently speaks and writes about her workplace adventures and the parallel life lessons that accompanied these experiences. When she's not writing or speaking, she loves being outside, especially in the water. She competes in triathlons and various other athletic events and works as a fitness coach at a local gym franchise. She hopes her story and hard-learned lessons ultimately encourage and inspire others to make positive changes in their lives.
