I like this portion of the book when Diwakar gave a lecture to the disgraced lover about different types of love affairs:
First type of love affairs starts between the legs and ends with that part of the body only. --. Then second type of love affairs, though it starts from ‘between the legs’, but goes upwards. If upward transition ends within two feet, it is a love affair void of responsibilities. If however, it goes upto the top, that love affair which starts from an animal instinct, but ends with true love and taking responsibilities of each other and families, they grow in subsequent years of staying together, is a successful relation between two persons. Indian successful arrange marriages are examples of this type of love affairs. Another type of love affairs starts from heart and ends with actions between the legs. Head is kept out of all these activities and we call it as a disastrous love-marriage. If however, head is involved at an appropriate time, we call it ‘successful love marriage’. But love may start from head also and comes down slowly. ---This type of marriage are mostly successful but sometimes go horribly wrong. Another type of love affairs is also seen, where it started from heart or head and ended with head or heart and never come down to the area between the legs. These types of love affairs became folklores of divine love and sometimes culminated in some world class stories and books which most of us read in our life time at least once. Except the first type of love affairs, at some time or at other time, heart is involved.
He gave the example of birth of Dritarastra, Pandu and Vidur in this context as well.
I lik the book.
