About Phil Torcivia

Torcivia is a divorced man who transplanted himself from Pennsylvania into the treacherous dating pool in Southern California. His feline companions, Syd and Symon, share his home in San Diego and an occasional dish of leftover tuna. Torcivia loves nothing better than bellying up to the bar with his favorite social lubrication (wine) and watching the bizarre mating rituals of the locals, which he translates into humorous essays. He has been single long enough to be involved in a few train wrecks of his own, admitting that he's "one relationship disaster away from a third cat."

This is a fall on the floor, wet yourself funny book!! I never knew there were so many names for all our naughty bits. I learned a lot. It should be required reading for all singles. Very clever writing, the shoe/women chapter was spot on. A must read if you want to have a really great laugh and lift your spirits.

If you lack a sense of humor or are afraid of hearing honest, and often irreverent, comments about women, steer clear. If you love to laugh, you have got to read this. I dare you not to agree with at least some of this author's observations. I don't want to reveal too much of my own history, but let's just say that page 16 brings back memories. Fond memories, that I wouldn't have recalled if it weren't for "The Nicest Guy and His Lonely Penis." 5 stars for honesty. 12 for the number of laugh out loud moments!
