About John Tarttelin

Born in 1955 in Great Grimsby Lincolnshire, England, I trained to be a history and geography teacher at Sheffield City College of Education and took my B.Ed. with Sheffield University. I later did an M.A. in History and wrote my dissertation on Thomas Wentworth, the First Earl of Strafford - leading minister to King Charles Ist.

I have been writing for over thirty-five years and have had articles and stories printed in several magazines. My first article in French was printed in Oct. 2011 in 'Vive L'Empereur' magazine.

I currently have 28 titles for sale on Amazon Kindle. I write history, horror, fantasy, romance and dark fiction. I am a member of the INS - the International Napoleonic Society and I received their medal of honor in Dec. 2010 . My history book The Real Napoleon is available on Amazon Createspace, as is my new novel Total Zombie.
