About Alexia Lewis

Alexandra “Alexia” Lewis is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Heath Coach who believes life is better with science, humor, and beautiful, delicious, healthy food. Alexia knows first-hand how to navigate making nutrition work in the craziness of life. She survived a heart attack in 2007 and decided to become a dietitian and certified health coach to help spread the word about how food choices and habits can influence health.

Alexia is an expert on heart-healthy, plant-based (vegetarian/vegan), clean-eating, whole-food, low-sodium, high-fiber, low-added-sugar, delicious and easy food... but as a heart attack survivor, her passion is heart-healthy nutrition. Her company, N.E.W. Motivation Coaching, offers programs designed to move people to better health by building skills and knowledge, working to find the best approaches that fit into current lifestyles and preferences, and discovering real-life, flexible, and long-term solutions. She also writes and speaks about nutrition, food, health/wellness, and cardiovascular disease.

She is a Registered Dietitian credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with Florida Department of Health. Her Certified Health Coach credential is from the American Council on Exercise. She holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science in Health from the University of North Florida. From her previous career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University.

This Holiday Survival Guide is perfect. Short and sweet, while providing helpful tips. I have personally used some of these tips over the last few years and implement them everyday, not just for the holidays. I've maintained over an 80 pound weight loss for over 5 years and these tips have made an impact.
