Heather grew up in Pennsylvania and Maryland and now lives in a cabin in the mountains, after spending a few years in the San Francisco Bay area. A true creative storyteller, Heather has made short films, visual art, and works of fiction that have been featured in a number of exhibitions throughout the United States. She continues to create art and stories that further the belief that women will only be truly equal when they own and control the narrative around their sex and sexuality.

Madame X Book 1.1 is an interesting read, both sexy and disturbing.

You could simply read it as erotica. There's plenty of sultry description of lustful desires and acts of passion. But all of those acts of passion are ambivalent: the consent is often questionable, the ethics dubious. That's common enough in erotic fiction, but what makes this story interesting is that it is aware of those conflicts, and rather than glossing them over or preaching against them it simply sits with them.

X has experiences that leave her thrilled and also feeling used. She is on a quest toward sexual autonomy, and along the way she gets passed around (sometimes literally) by men who use her like a sex toy.

I'm left rooting for her. I hope that, as the series continues, we get to see her find her voice and build a full and filthy sex life that is all her own.
