Taddeo Gaddi Florentine Artist and Builder of the Ponte Vecchio

Taddeo Gaddi's life was profiled by Croatian-born Italian writer Franco Sacchetti. The historian tells us that after Giotto's death Gaddi became depressed about the prospects of art in 14th century Florence. By 1342 Gaddi had left his master Giotto and journeyed to Pisa, Italy.
