I am married, have two children and seven grandchildren. I graduated from Purdue University in Jan. 1961 with a BS degree in chemistry and from Indiana University in Jan. 1975 with an MS degree in chemistry. I retired as a civil service chemist in Sept. 1999. I've been writing science fiction (SF) since 1975 and more recently romance of the sweet variety. I have six ebooks out at The Wild Rose Press and one science fiction ebook novel at Smashwords and Amazon. I have a sweet romance novel available in ebook form from Amazon and Wings ePress. That novel is based on the characters Leroy and Jody from the short story Lab Partners at Wild Rose only cast in modern times. One science fiction novel and one sweet romance/mystery novel were in print form but the publisher has closed their doors. I'm trying to find them a home. Remaining copies are available from me while supplies last. I have rights back on a short story which I have expanded into a novella. It is entitled Motorcycle Woman and will be available in 2018 as a self-published print book. I have two non fiction books and one nonfiction/fiction book in print available from Amazon, being published via Create Space. I am currently seeking representation of a novel entitled A Reason for Rescue, a sweet romance and adventure story.

Smitten with the modeling pictures he's seen of blonde beauty Gena, Dave Canter pays three grand for one dinner date with her. For the Indianapolis wood crafter, that's a large sum. But no amount of money is too much to just meet Gena.
Gena's attitude is cool at first and Dave's nervousness is apparent. But he remains the perfect gentleman.
It doesn't take long for Gena to realize that Dave's interest in her is genuine. Between Gena's flights to Paris, and other job-related trips, the two find time to be together.
Their relationship blossoms. Still, Dave hesitates to pop the question. What would a glamorous lady like Gena want with an ordinary wood crafter?
The story holds several surprises. I am impressed with Mr. Hammersley's unique ability to tell a story and his use of vivid description. As a reader I could envision every facial expression and movement. I was pulled into every scene and felt the attraction between Dave and Gena.
If you aren't a Larry Hammersley fan yet, you will be. His stories just get better. I highly recommend this sweet romance, "Photo Beauty."
