Daddy's Trucker Buddies

Not long after I'd climbed into the cab of my Daddy's tractor-trailer, I realized that maybe it wasn't a good idea to go on a long haul with him. He always talked about how nice the weather was down South, and how he hated coming back. I was intrigued by this peek of summer weather in the middle of winter, and packed my bags.

The Pennsylvania hills can seem like a prison by the middle of winter. I needed some palm trees and sunshine!

I never had a regular visitation schedule with my daddy because of his truck-driving schedule. He was always traveling all over the country, and he would only be home for a few days before heading out again. Luckily, he had a planned out schedule, so him and my mom could always work out my visits.

After my parents divorce, I kept a close relationship with my Daddy. My mom hated it, and always tried to drive a wedge between us. Since he wasn't my biological father, she didn't understand why I kept in contact with him. He was my Daddy for five years, so he's a part of my life now, and she's just a bitch anyway.
